We are running four age-groups this season:

- School years 1 & 2
- On the half of the astroturf pitch closest to the road
- Unfortunately we are not able to take any 5-year-old Reception children this season

- School year 3
- On the half of the astroturf pitch furthest from the road

- School years 4 & 5
- On the grass field

- School years 6 & 7
- On the grass field

We are not running a group for U13 (school year 8) or above. The response to the survey we conducted in the summer told us that too few players of that age were interested in returning for such a group to be viable.

Each age-group needs to be limited to about 25 players to comply with the Government's Covid rules and FA guidance. The FA's 'Covid-19 Guidance on Re-starting Outdoor Competitive Grassroots Football' document says: "Competitive training can take place for all participants, in an outdoor setting provided this takes place in groups of no more than 30 (including coaches)." Of course, these rules & guidelines could change. Nothing is set in stone.

It has always been CCUFC’s policy to give priority to the kids who were members the previous season. That was more important than ever this season because of the Government’s rules on group size and the need to comply with ‘NHS Test & Trace’ requirements, which include keeping accurate attendance registers. So, up to October half-term, our coaching sessions were restricted to kids who were members last season. However, last season’s players who didn’t attend any of the four sessions we held in October have now lost their ‘priority’ places.

Once the current lockdown is lifted and CCUFC is able to return to action, we expect to be able to offer a few places to new members. We have a wait-list for each age-group. Available places will be offered on a strictly first-come-first-served basis. If your child would like to be added to our wait-lists, please email the Membership Secretary via the Contact page.
